Privacy policy for the SpinFin UK information site
Effective 15 October 2026.
This policy covers one thing only: the information site you are reading. It does not cover SpinFin Casino. The two are separate, and that difference shapes almost every answer below.
Whose data we handle, and whose we do not
We run an independent information site about SpinFin for readers in the United Kingdom. We act as the controller for the personal data that reaches this site. We do not run the casino, so we are not the controller of anything a player enters when creating a casino account.
At registration, SpinFin asks for an e-mail address and password, then a full name, date of birth and gender, then contact details including a phone number and address, and finally a preferred currency. Players accept SpinFin’s terms and privacy policy before the account is created. That data goes to SpinFin, not to us, and SpinFin’s own policy governs it.
What reaches us
We hold personal data in two situations only.
- You write to us. If you e-mail [email protected], we receive your e-mail address, your message and anything you choose to attach.
- You visit the site. Like any website, ours picks up technical data from your browser when a page loads, such as the address of the device and the page requested.
We do not ask readers to register, we do not take payments and we do not ask for identity documents. If you send identity documents or card details by e-mail, we will delete them rather than use them, and we ask you not to send them.
Why we use it
Your message is used to answer you and to correct a page if you have found a mistake. Technical data is used to keep the site running and to see which pages are read. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it to make decisions about you by automated means.
The legal basis for answering a message is our legitimate interest in running an accurate information site and replying to people who contact us. For anything that needs consent, we ask for it first, and you can withdraw it later.
Cookies and similar technology
The site uses cookies that keep pages working. Where we add analytics or other cookies that are not strictly needed, we ask for consent before setting them, and you can change your choice in your browser settings at any time. Blocking cookies may change how a page displays, but the information on it stays the same.
Links to SpinFin and other sites
Pages link to SpinFin. Following a link takes you to a site we do not control, and the data that site collects is handled under its own policy. Once you are on SpinFin, its cookies and the registration data you enter there fall under SpinFin’s policy, and none of our reader data is passed on through the link.
Games and sportsbook pages mention third-party providers. We do not pass any reader data to them.
Who else sees it
We share personal data only with service providers that host or maintain the site, and only to the extent they need it to do so. We may also disclose data when the law requires it. We do not share your messages with SpinFin.
How long we keep it
We keep a message for as long as it takes to deal with your question or correction, then for a limited period in case you reply. After that it is deleted. Technical data is kept for a short period for security and site maintenance.
Security and transfers
We protect the site and the mailbox with access controls, and only editors who need a message can read it. If a service provider handles data outside the United Kingdom, we require protection that meets UK data-protection law.
Your rights
Under UK data-protection law you can ask us to:
- tell you whether we hold your data and give you a copy;
- correct data that is wrong;
- delete data we no longer need;
- restrict how we use it;
- send it to you or another controller in a usable format;
- stop using it where we rely on legitimate interest.
Write to [email protected] and say which right you want to use. Please do not include passwords, card numbers or copies of identity documents. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you before we act on it.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would still like the chance to put it right first.
Age
The pages discuss gambling, which in the casino’s terms is for players aged 18 and above. This site is not meant for under-18s, and we do not knowingly collect their data. A parent who believes a child has written to us should e-mail the address above so that we can delete the message.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the effective date at the top. A change that affects how we use data you have already given us will be explained on this page before it applies.
How long a message stays with us
A message takes a short path. An editor reads it, answers it from the address it came from, and corrects the page if the message showed a mistake. The exchange is then kept for a limited period in case you reply, and after that it is deleted.
If you ask us to delete the exchange sooner, we remove it from the mailbox and confirm once it is done. The only personal data involved is your e-mail address and the text of your message.
Requests we cannot fulfil
We cannot act on a request about a casino account, a payment or a verification file, because those sit with SpinFin and we have no access to them. Send that request to the casino. If you are unsure which of us holds the data, write to [email protected] and we will tell you whether it is ours.
